The primary focus of this role will be to analyze, build, execute, and manage Ottawa, Ontario, Canada strategies & campaigns required to deliver and exceed on the objectives for the residential services business!  

 

The candidate will work on developing regional marketing plans for the Internet, TV, Home Phone, and Smart Home Monitoring products. This position is based in Toronto, with travel to Ottawa for one week per month (required) to gain local insights, assess campaign impacts, and engage with local Ottawa teams including Field, CIS, CMA, and others.

 

This is the ideal job for a candidate who can manage multiple tasks, has strong analytical background, marketing experience and likes a healthy balance of strategy and execution.  A strong focus is placed on analyzing and understanding internal consumer & business results as well as market factors to form a recommendation.

 

The successful candidate will need to lead and influence cross-functional teams responsible for the consumer residential business while narrating the marketing story.

 

What you will be doing:
 

  • Responsible for revenue and subscriber growth for the Ottawa region through targeted marketing campaigns, built on unique, local insights and data
  • Development and execution of marketing plans to drive new customer acquisition for the residential (TV, Internet, Home Phone, Smart Home Monitoring) business
  • Stay informed/educated on Ottawa landscape, market conditions and consumer insights to inform recommendations for quarterly plans
  • Analyze and develop insights from data that will lead to targeted Ottawa marketing plans
  • Provide input for regional build business case/road map development for your region (product and network investments)
  • Work with Brand and agencies to develop compelling, personalized creatives to appeal to targeted segments
  • Spend a significant amount of time in the region with the intent of building cross-functional relationships at the front-line level
  • Own, understand, monitor and track against business objectives related to your regional programs while identifying trends and gathering insights to develop recommendations on future campaigns
  • Work closely with Brand, Channel Marketing, Sales Channels, Pricing and other cross-functional teams to deliver strong strategic marketing plans that deliver on Residential Marketing objectives
  • Work closely with commercial strategy team on offer and bundle strategies, where needed and based on business and market insights
  • Work closely with CBM to share intelligence around regional insights to assist in churn and growth opportunities to help overall penetration
  • Work closely with the research team to gather insights and execute new research initiatives to define new opportunities and craft insight-driven plans
  • While residing in Toronto, travel to Ottawa one week out of the month (non-negotiable)

 

What you bring:
 

  • University degree in Business (undergraduate or MBA) strongly preferred
  • 5+ years marketing (planning and execution) experience with large organizations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and present strategic recommendations
  • Strong brief writing skills and masterful at telling a compelling story to drive your programs forward
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral for presentation purpose.  Working magic with PowerPoint is key!
