Reporting to the Director, Retail Leasing, the Retail Leasing Specialist will play an integral role as part of the Corporate Real Estate team supporting the Director and the Retail Leasing Transactions team 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Managing the national database of current/future renewals and rents for retail transactions. You will provide regular value-add reporting to the Retail Transactions Team, Retail Business Units and Director, Retail Leasing, while ensuring consistency and accuracy of documentation.
  • Negotiating storage leases for all of Rogers brands while ensuring alignment with the Retail Business Units on requirements and budgets. Manage the storage lease budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Supporting the Retail Transactions Team with processing of lease documentation by facilitating legal/executive approval; Landlord execution; and administrative tasks including processing of invoices and courier requests/scanning of documents to the database.
  • Facilitating and reporting on the collection of Tenant Improvement Allowances.
  • Working with the Dealer Business Unit and preparing subleases for Dealer execution. 
  • Managing the process for retail lease change transactions with between Corporate and the Dealer Network, including obtaining Landlord Lease Consent documentation.
  • Supporting the Retail Transactions Team with the weekly preparation of power point presentations for lease renewals and new deals.
  • Supporting overall department improvement projects/initiatives, business analysis and problem solving.  Working with legal to ensure leasing terms and conditions are updated 
  • Supporting Director, Retail Leasing with reporting, presentations and invoice processing

What you have:  

  • University Degree/College Diploma 
  • Experience working in a Real Estate organization facilitating real estate transactions
  • Solid understanding of and ability to interpret commercial real estate documentation
  • Advanced Excel, Power Point and SharePoint skills
  • Experience using databases and ability to adapt and learn to use software to analyze and generate reports  
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Superior organizational, process and time-management skills
