We’re looking for a part-time Satellite Operator within Sportsnet Operations to support live sports across all media platforms

 

What you will do:

  • Be part of a team that oversees Rogers largest sports and media hub in Canada.
  • Carry out technical lineups for remote productions.
  • Oversee content distribution for live broadcasts, news and highlights.
  • Plan resources for signal acquisitions over satellite, fibre and IP.
  • Ensure SN NOW streaming schedules are accurate and up to date.
  • Provide support for internal and external issues.
  • Manage the resource scheduling tool for server based records.
  • Monitor broadcast signals for quality assurance.
  • Liaise with Master Control, Production and programming department for planning.
  • Assist technical team to solve problems and provide detailed reports.


What you will bring:

  • Excellent understanding of studio and remote broadcast production.
  • Good understanding of distribution paths for live content delivery.
  • Strong technical knowledge of television broadcast equipment.
  • Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced broadcast environment.
  • Familiarity of North American and European sports.
  • Experience with MAM systems.
