Working with Go-To-Market Teams, this role is responsible for reviewing new product and pricing constructs to assess and provide insights into how they will impact our externally reported subscriber numbers. The Sr. Analyst will need to fully understand the data architecture and will be responsible for the data contained in all subscriber reference tables, the product constructs, and how they impact our externally reported results. They will also have an opportunity to build and foster relationships with key partners in the business and be an advisor for team members and stakeholders when it comes to master data for products.
What you’ll do:
- Active stakeholder in Go-To-Market meetings, raising issues, concerns, and escalating where necessary
- Define classifications, series types, countable/non-countable, hardware categories for new products/offers, as it relates to subscriber reporting builds
- Governance for reference tables within the Enterprise Data Lake to support subscriber reporting
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of all hierarchies and products within them
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives, to enhance processes that improve overall quality and efficiency for reporting
- Represent BI & Subscriber Reporting in cross-functional meetings. Work with reporting teams on their reporting solutions and make recommendations based on our reference data & product hierarchies.
- Provide insights on new products and programs, and assess & communicate impacts to subscriber reporting
- Perform adhoc analysis, investigations and reconciliation activities as needed
- Create and follow up with incidents related to issues with reference data and/or subscriber reporting. Work with IT to resolve issues found in Enterprise Data Lake.
- Leverage multiple data languages (e.g. SQL, Python) to manipulate data and build complex data sets to service requests
- Data visualization and dashboard development
- Produce simple, concise presentations and visualizations of data to clearly communicate key insights
- Effectively translate needs to insights for leadership
What you’ll have:
- Information Technology, Business degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in a progressive Business Analytics/Financial Reporting role
- 3+ years of experience writing and optimizing Python code and/or SQL queries
- 3+ years of experience building dashboards and reports preferably using Tableau
- Telecommunications background is considered an asset
- Solid business acumen
- Exceptional analytical skills and sound decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with internal stakeholders and vendors, as required
- Proven ability to initiate change when opportunities to improve are identified i.e. the successful candidate must be innovative to find opportunities and confident/comfortable to make opinions known and support their recommendation
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and the ability to remain organized and focused in a very fast paced environment where multiple and changing priorities are the norm
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise written reports and deliver presentations
