The Strategy and Performance Management team is looking for a Senior Analyst that is ready to take on a challenging and unique opportunity to help contribute to the company’s financial reporting.

 

As a member of the Performance Management team, you will be preparing consolidated financial and operational metrics related reporting for the CEO, CFO and other ELT members.  You will interact with various cross functional teams including the various business units (Wireless, Residential, Media, Wholesale, etc.) 

 

We are looking for an individual that can leverage exceptional business acumen and apply themselves to this high-exposure role. The successful candidate will be expected to synthesize financial data into relevant analysis to support Executive decision-making. Strong technical (Excel/PowerPoint) skills are a desired asset, as the Senior Analyst will be looked upon to take current financial reports to the next level.
 
What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Develop, maintain and present rolling view of our performance against targets as well as various changing business and market trends

  • Support process for collecting and consolidating complex data required for key performance metric analysis and benchmark against competitors

  • Be a lead on Industry Research on market and subscriber trends

  • Support your business partners in short and long term planning by identifying, prioritizing and communicating business risks and opportunities through strong financial analysis

  • Provide value steering analysis, communicate key trends, observations and business impacts

  • Lead post implementation project reviews and assessments

  • Provide general assistance with ad hoc work as necessary

 

What you bring:

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience 

  • CA/CFA designation is an asset

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to visualize data using graphs and charts

  • Detail-oriented, with an emphasis on quality of work

  • An understanding of financial metrics (i.e.TSR, EV/EBITDA Multiple) and KPI’s

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ease of communicating with various levels in the organization (including Senior Management)

  • Strong team skills, but ability to work independently

  • Very high-level individual contributor with considerable independent judgment

  • Ability to build strong relationships with business groups and other finance organizations

  • Experience with data analytics tools an asset

  • Experience in Telco industry is a big plus
