The Senior Analyst, Sales Analytics position is located in Toronto and will be a key contributor to driving decisions on Channel tactics and initiatives to improve overall Channel performance and effectiveness. This is an essential partnership role with Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Finance and Sales channel teams to informing and advising on key business decisions by making extensive and systematic use of data analysis and to execute sales business processes with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.


The successful candidate will use their natural curiosity and creativity to evaluate Channel results and produce insights and market intelligence leading to the development of new sales initiatives and improvements or expiration of existing programs. The Senior Analyst will also work as liaison with other groups/departments within the company in order to execute against objectives.


You are expected to have experience analyzing Channel/Market performance data in preferably telecommunications industry, a strong business sense, adaptive and enjoy new challenges.  To be successful, you are an outgoing person that develops and maintains strong relationships inside and outside the immediate team, a self-starter with ‘can-do’ approach who is respectful, resourceful, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented.


Primary responsibilities include: 


Insights/Story Telling (25%)

o   Quantitative/qualitative analysis (ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly), specifically focused on Channel performance, costs & channel/customer behavior and provide recommendations to Channel management

o   Perform PIRs through performance deep dives, present findings and showcase the “so what” to determine key learnings

Analytics (25%)

o   Develop and maintain statistical models and analytics to support initiatives

o   Proactively assess results and work with Channel leadership on business changes to drive success

o   Build and foster relationships with channel primes and various sections of channel management team to drive the business forward

Dashboard/Reporting: (20%)

o   Communicate and assist with data, feedback, and problem solving to all levels of Channel leadership team

o   Construct and maintain executive dashboard for SSLT / ELT tracking sales performance against various KPI’s

Forecasting/Target setting (20%)

o   Help in sales forecasting and target setting the wireless product and KPI’s

Channel Strategy (10%)

o   Work with channel strategy team to align and implement the distribution strategy



Required Qualifications


·        Good working knowledge of data analysis, and evaluation (Knowledge of SQL coding skills, Statistical analysis, Advanced Excel, Power BI)

·        Ability to connect the dots and create the story linked by data points , strong problem-solving, and analytical skills

·        Excellent communication and presentation skills (written & verbal), ability and self-confidence to work with all levels of management

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing/Finance/Statistics

·        Experience preferably in telecommunication / consulting industry

·        Ability to work independently and as a member of various cross-functional teams

·        Positive attitude, ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines and multitask

·        Proactive, flexibility, and a willingness to work within a constantly changing environment with enthusiasm
