Senior Director, Internal & Corporate Communications


We are looking for a creative, dynamic and collaborative leader with a passion for internal communications to join our team! In this role you will lead internal communications with the end goal of rallying our teams to deliver for our customers. Reporting to the VP Communications you will lead and mentor a talented team of communicators and bring forward best practices and expertise on how to effectively inform and engage employees and leaders across our business. You will also play a key leadership role on companywide change management files, ensuring employees are well informed and supported and ready to deliver for our customers, and each other. What you will do

  • Employee Communications: Partner with our broad Corporate Communications team to ensure we consistently deliver engaging communications and events to team members across Canada.
  • Executive & Leader Communications: Execute best-in-class leader communications to strengthen team engagement including events, forums, written, video and digital content.
  • HR Communications: Collaborate with HR leaders to deliver integrated communications that educate and engage our team members on key HR programs, policies and initiatives.
  • Inclusion & Diversity: Partner with leaders across our company to reinforce our commitment to Inclusion & Diversity and also in support of team members from equity-deserving communities.
  • Content & Platforms: Drive content strategy across internal platforms, and partner with teams to influence and maintain a technical roadmap for our intranet and internal collaboration tools.
  • Change Management: Lead strategy and execution of change management and employee communications for major business acquisitions and initiatives.
  • Corporate Initiatives: Lead cross-functional working teams to deliver corporate initiatives including stakeholder events, reporting and other priority initiatives as required.
  • Linguistic Services: Oversee support model and budget for companywide translation services.
  • Measurement & Analytics: Develop and maintain a set of KPIs across internal communications to enable thoughtful decision making about where, how and when to communicate.


What we’re looking for

  • 15+ years experience working across Internal/Employee, Corporate or HR communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • People leadership experience, including a passion for the growth and development of others
  • Exposure and experience to support senior leaders in a communications role
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with team members and leaders across large organizations
  • Results-driven, creative and collaborative team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management and organization skills with a fine attention for the details
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 (PPT, Teams, Yammer, OneDrive) and other communications tools
