What we’re looking for

 

As Canadian readership shifts from print to digital, Rogers Media has reorganized to accelerate digital growth. As part of this, the Rogers Media Digital Content & Publishing division is now organized by pillars. The Entertainment pillar—responsible for producing highly-clickable fashion, beauty and culture content for FLARE, HELLO! Canada and other Rogers media brands—is looking for an ambitious, outside-the-box thinker who possesses serious hustle and significant knowledge and experience in the fashion and beauty media industry. You’re also a total boss when it comes to creating smart, funny, clickable and shareable style content for Canadian women that is based on SEO search trends.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

•Overseeing fashion and beauty content for Entertainment pillar brands (FLARE and HELLO! Canada) plus Chatelaine and Today’s Parent

•Ensuring the monthly fashion and beauty content for FLARE, HELLO! Canada and Chatelaine meets monthly Global and Canadian PV and UV goals

•Developing and overseeing strategy and content for special fashion and beauty digital hubs/verticals for Entertainment pillar brands and Chatelaine

•Producing fashion and beauty videos for FLARE, HELLO! Canada and Chatelaine

•Appearing on television for Entertainment pillar brands, Chatelaine and sometimes Today’s Parent

•Helping with fashion and beauty ad integrations when required

•Representing Rogers Media at fashion and beauty events

•Developing and managing four-person fashion and beauty team

•Maintaining monthly fashion and beauty budget

 

What you have

 

•A post-secondary degree

•Five to seven years of relevant editorial experience, at a major media brand

•The ability to edit or write lively, crisp, clean copy on a dime

•High proficiency in WordPress

•Fluency in analytics tools such as Chartbeat and Omniture  

•Strong drive and initiative

•Excellent time management skills

•Willingness to embrace change with a positive, can-do attitude

External: Industry contacts

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

You may be required to work overtime and occasional weekends
