Rogers Media has reorganized to accelerate digital growth. As part of this, the Digital Content & Publishing division is now organized by pillars. The Entertainment pillar—responsible for producing fashion, beauty and culture content for FLARE, Hello! Canada and other Rogers media brands—is looking for a senior editor to oversee video, from daily pop culture explainers and Facebook Lives to the development of YouTube series and mini docs.


What you will be doing:


•Oversee video strategy for Entertainment pillar

•Produce live broadcasts and short- and long-form videos for Entertainment pillar

•Edit video scripts and work with art director and design team on graphic elements for videos

•Develop and manage videographer and digital producer

•Work with custom content and branded content teams on video ad integrations when required  

•Maintain YouTube channel, ensuring videos can be monetized and analyze video views and metrics monthly

•Work with social media editor on video strategy for social platforms

•Maintain monthly video budget

•Ensure FLARE and Hello! Canada meet monthly Canadian and Global video view and start goals


What you have:


• A post-secondary degree

•Three to five years of video production/editing/filming experience at a major magazine, website, agency or TV network

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience with DSLR cameras and audio capturing equipment

• Pop culture knowledge that won't quit

• Great ideas and the ability to communicate them in a collaborative setting

• Strong drive and initiative

• Excellent leadership skills

• Willingness to embrace change with a positive, can-do attitude
