Senior Financial Analyst - Business Case Analytics




As a Senior Financial Analyst - Business Case Analytics, you will provide analytical support for all wireless products and services within consumer segment across Rogers, Fido and Chatr brands. You will work across key functional areas such as sales, commercial strategy, branding, new product development, and network/IT to develop business cases which provide financial insight into operational and strategic decisions.



  • Apply your creative problem solving skills to design and build financial models to analyze the economic impact of pricing, promotions and investments
  • Act as internal financial consultant by providing guidance and support to assist program owners in development of business cases
  • Work closely with other finance groups to ensure targets and projections in business cases are properly reflected and captured in latest forecast/budget
  • Leverage your business acumen to assess rationality, economic feasibility, accuracy, and completeness of analysis with program owners
  • Participate actively in business decision-making by offering qualitative feedback, recommendations, and discussing “what-if” scenarios
  • Influence and analyze time sensitive competitive responses in the marketplace
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews of large-scale programs with program owners
  • Lead special projects / ad-hoc assignments as required
  • Coach, support, and cross-train with peers
  • Stay apprised of wireless industry trends and the competitive landscape



  • University degree in business with a concentration in finance, accounting or economics
  • An MBA and/or an accounting designation (CMA, CA, CGA) completed or in progress preferred
  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in telecommunications, and/or within finance or marketing department
  • Solid understanding of finance fundamentals, activity-based costing, as well as other analysis techniques
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities under short timelines
  • Strong business acumen with good problem solving skills
  • Able to work effectively with individuals across various areas within the organization 
  • Comfort and confidence in dealing with senior leadership
  • Takes initiative, and acts as a catalyst for program and project execution
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating others
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, and determined to learn and sharpen skills on an ongoing basis
