The Senior Analyst, Equipment Margin will have an active role in the monthly reporting and process as well as a key stakeholder in data integration and communication between Equipment Margin Group and Marketing. This role will support the key financial reporting functions such as monthly financial reports, forecasting, and budgeting.  The successful candidate will be expected to synthesize financial data into relevant analyses to support Executive decision-making. 



  • Support monthly forecast process and continually improve forecasting/budgeting frameworks for the Wireless Equipment Margin group in support of Marketing
  • Design, develop, and deploy ongoing standard reports and dashboards for senior management.
  • Work with the business line managers to proactively determine and implement improvement opportunities
  • Participate actively in business decision-making by offering quantitative and qualitative feedback, recommendations, and discussing "what-if" scenarios; prepare and present new project initiatives at the Director / VP level
  • In conjunction with the Manager, design and implement processes to support new initiatives resulting in value added change
  • Lead special projects / ad-hoc assignments as required and conduct post-implementation review
  • Be a subject matter expert on all aspects of Equipment Margin Business
  • Coach, support, and cross-train with peers
  • Question the results and lead deep dive analysis and present findings in a business friendly fashion
  • Identify enhancement opportunities within existing processes



  • University degree in business with a concentration in finance, accounting or economics
  • An MBA and/or an accounting designation (CMA, CA, CGA) completed or in progress preferred
  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in telecommunications, and/or within finance or marketing department
  • Analytical skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity and make sound decisions
  • Expert level working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Working level knowledge of SAS or SQL experience
  • Converting data to valuable information
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and competing priorities under short timelines
  • Comfort and confidence in dealing with senior leadership
  • Takes initiative, and acts as a catalyst for program and project execution
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating others
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, and determined to learn and sharpen skills on an ongoing basis
