What you will do:

  • Work with the manager and assist in the day to day management of revenue related projects, act as SME on cross functional projects, develop project plans, monitor project status, resolve issues, ensure the appropriate accounting entries, IFRS requirements, reporting, and internal controls are developed.
  • Support the Manager by taking a leadership role in the management and resolution of initiatives and identified issues, including gathering the required detailed information, performing in-depth analysis and recommending the appropriate approach / actions to resolve the issues.
  • Analyze results, and help investigate issues and propose solutions to management through in-depth analysis as they arise.
  • Ensure all journal entries are prepared, reviewed, adequately supported with backup, and posted by close deadline, and have a strong understanding of the processes, controls, and accounting behind the financial documentation.
  • Complete complex account reconciliations by developing an in-depth understanding of the related accounting and billing system with the ability to effectively document and explain the accounting transactions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all customer groups to ensure all material transactions are recorded.
  • Support all quarter and year-end audit information requests and performance of SOX Controls.
  • Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying areas for process improvement and automation.


What you will bring:

  • CPA with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, challenging accounting environment.
  • Strong technical skills in IFRS and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with, and to provide guidance and training to a variety of different levels of employees, from peers to directors.
  • Experience in IFRS revenue recognition and familiar with IFRS 15.
  • Experience with SAS or SQL is an asset
  • Strong time management and organizational skills due to tight project and monthly time constraints.
  • Strong skills in Excel with the ability to use complex formulas.
  • High attention to detail.
