We are currently seeking a high performing Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Reporting team within Rogers Bank Finance. Reporting to the Director, Finance, this role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing income statement and balance sheet information, leading general accounting duties, and assisting in the preparation of internal and external financial reports. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management and contribute to the financial health and strategic direction of the company.
What you'll do:
- Assist with month-end close including journal entries, comprehensive analysis of variances and account reconciliations
- Preparation of various daily and monthly reports for operational visibility and expense management
- Assist with the maintenance of Chart of Accounts by reviewing and processing change requests
- Support internal, external and tax audits by responding to information requests
- Payments processing for select vendors
- Continuously improve the monthly reporting process through the development of new reports to further support the analysis of expense trends
- Collaborate with key business partners and communicate key trends, observations, and business impacts
- Support the financial operations of the Bank through the preparation and review of budget and forecasts
- Complete special projects, ad-hoc requests, and various other duties as needed
What you'll have:
- 3 to 5 years of progressive audit/finance experience (external audit experience is an asset)
- Strong technical accounting skills with an accounting designation
- Advanced Excel skills required, including maintaining Macros and use of complex formulas for large volumes of data
- Experience with Power BI and Oracle ERP experience is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ease with communicating with various levels in the organization
- A team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and strict deadlines
- Highly advanced analytical skills and detailed oriented
- Strong team skills, but ability to work independently
