Senior Fraud Analyst Rogers

Who we are looking for:

As a key member of the Fraud Strategy team, the Senior Fraud Analyst performs detailed trend analysis and makes business critical recommendations to enhance performance and reduce fraud loss exposure for both external and internal fraud so that the Bank operates within its risk appetite.

The role proactively evaluates program performance, with the goal of identifying and assisting in the delivery of process improvements to drive operational efficiencies, new system capabilities, and enhanced service delivery to Rogers Bank customers.

 

What you'll do:

  • Assist in the development and performance monitoring to optimize fraud prevention and detection while maintaining a balanced approach between mitigation and risk appetite
  • Proactively identifies trends, draws meaningful conclusions, and delivers change recommendations at a strategic and tactical level.
  • Develop strong knowledge of fraud delivery platforms to articulate enhancement requirements based on industry best practices and business needs, ensuring that solutions are operationally and technologically sound and can be integrated into business processes.
  • Leverage industry tools and provide insights to monitor and minimize fraudulent credit card transactions across the entire account life cycle, including originations, authorizations and account reissue.
  • Perform regular analysis of fraud losses, transaction activity, and monitor fraud-related metrics and investigate unusual trends, data discrepancies to identify key drivers, emerging risks, and opportunities for fraud prevention.
  • Assist with developing, analyzing, distributing fraud reporting, and translate business requirements into data solutions and provide results with meaningful and actional information
  • Support the development and improvement of reporting processes, including data validation, script automation, and enhancements to reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Fraud Operations, Finance, Acquisition, Credit Risk, third-party vendors to support data and reporting needs, identify and address emerging threats and provide data-driven analytics and insights.

 

What you'll bring:

  • University or master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline
  • Demonstrated work experience in data analytics, business intelligence, financial services, or credit card industry. Working knowledge of TSYS TS2, CardGuard, Determinator, Broadcom/Arcot, MasterCard Connect system, and credit card
  • fraud detection systems is considered as asset.
  • Proficient in utilizing analytical tools and programming languages to perform data extraction, preparation, manipulation, analysis, and visualization, including SQL, Python, Power BI, and Excel, and understanding of relational databases
  • Working knowledge of developing performance dashboards, reports, and business scorecards
  • Proven Ability to extract and interpret data; Providing meaningful insights and actionable recommendations from data
  • Experience in leveraging scheduler programs to automate reporting functions and improve process efficiency
  • Detail oriented, analytical, organized, and self-sufficient.
  • Ability to adapt and reprioritize in a fast-paced, changing work environment and work on multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
