As a Sr. Manager, Audience Data Analytics, you will be part of the digital advertising product and data team responsible for the introduction of people-based advertising products, managing the development and evolution of our audience analytics and segmentation, and growth of revenue of our data-driven digital advertising portfolio. You will manage the process of connecting all the sources of data internally and externally, manage all data platforms and perform the necessary analysis and modeling to support the development of audience segments to inform our advertising platforms.

 

Responsibility / What you will be doing.

  • Lead team responsible for data analytics and audience segmentation, covering daily operations as well as the introduction of new ideas and processes to evolve the product portfolio and drive an innovative and successful data-driven digital advertising business.
  • Able to understand and connect large volumes of data and analyse the different data sets to find patterns, trends, and insights to capture a good view of the audience and/or campaign performance.
  • Develop statistical models for prediction and segmentation of audience data and campaign results.
  • Define and maintain data-driven audience segments covering first and third party data for purpose of digital advertising.
  • Design segmentation strategies based on behavioural data, market research, testing of new ideas, as well as continues tracking of results.
  • Develop automated processes to report on and analyse performance advertising campaigns, audiences segments, and predictive models.
  • Work with the team to create an on-going process of data-driven optimization of advertising performance as well as innovative approaches to new product ideas.
  • Work in conjunction with the ad product, data analytics, and ad sales teams on sales requests and segmentation strategies.
  • Evaluate third party data providers and recommend 3rd party traits that would naturally complement 1st party traits collected by our data platforms.
  • Monitor privacy features of our data platforms and provide recommendations on staying compliant with the current legislative environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and providing recommendations for testing into new and emerging technologies, vendors and trends

 

Qualifications / What you will bring.

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics or other quantitative field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading a data team in the advertising or marketing industry with focus on data-driven customer analytics and audience segmentation
  • 8+ years of experience implementing customer segmentation strategies with the solid understanding of segmentation principles, methodologies and best practices.
  • Prior experience conducting online and offline campaign performance measurement and post-campaign analysis, including defining key metrics and establishing benchmarks.
  • Strong experience with audience analytics and segmentation tools, example Web Analytics; Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and Data Management Platform; Adobe Audience Manager, is required.
  • Exposure to Ad Serving Technologies, RTB, DSP, DMP, Ad Exchange Platforms, Ad Tracking Platforms, and Online and Mobile Advertising ecosystems.
  • Experience with database query and analytics tools/software such as SQL and SAS, statistical programming languages, example R or Python and Hadoop Hive and Pig.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence, Reporting and Visualization tools, Tableau experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team, leading strategic initiatives, developing and presenting recommendation.
  • Flexible to adjust to evolving business needs and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence business partners
  • Superior communication skills; ability to understand objectives, lead business and technical discussion and communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners.
  • Passionate about new ideas and emerging market trends.
