Senior Manager, Governance - Project Delivery Office
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Governance to join our dynamic Project Delivery Office team in a bank. As the Senior Manager, Governance, you will play a critical role in ensuring successful project delivery by establishing and maintaining strong governance frameworks and ensuring that the technology organization of Rogers Bank is operating effectively.
Responsibilities:

Establish and enforce IT PMO standards and processes to ensure process standardization and adoption across all projects

Develop and maintain effective controls to ensure projects are delivered within accepted key performance indicators

Oversee the financial health of the entire portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting and vendor invoicing, and report to senior management

Lead and represent the IT PMO team for all internal and external audits

Monitor and report project portfolio health and status, typically consisting of ~60 to 70 active projects

Track key performance and risk indicators to ensure timely identification of potential issues and proactively address them

Manage the change management framework and ensure its effective implementation throughout the project execution lifecycle

Manage and forecast IT team capacity according to the project pipeline

Coordinate with other functional groups to roll-out new processes to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise processes

Oversee the effective transition of projects to operations upon warranty period completion

Ensure IT procedure and process documentation is up-to-date and accessible

Communicate with leadership across technology, operations, business and product and ensure that appropriate project and program information is cascaded with the appropriate level of urgency
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field

8+ years of relevant experience in project management, IT governance, or related field

Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies and best practices

Understanding and experience in technology operations in the context of Canadian Banking

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results

Experience with financial management and budgeting

Experience in managing risk and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations

Experience with IT audit processes and managing audit findings, in particular in Banking and Credit Card contexts
