Senior Manager, Network Marketing Innovation & Long Term Strategy

Reporting to the Senior Director - Network Marketing & Product Management, this position will develop and define our 18+ month strategic roadmap for network innovation.  The Senior Manager of Network Marketing Innovation & Long Term Strategy will be accountable for building this strategy across all CBU brands – Rogers, Fido, Chatr and must also drive alignment in our strategic leadership position with EBU and CBU residential.  This will require high integration with the network development & strategy teams, the 5G & IOT product management team, Network marketing, and CBU/EBU/residential marketing.

 

OUR TEAMS MANDATE!

  • Define the regional network/investment strategies across CBU (primary/secondary/tertiary markets) to maximize our revenue & share potential in our priority markets
  • Prioritize our network investments to deliver on our regional strategies
  • Define our network leadership strategy, focusing customer experience and establishing Rogers in the Canadian marketplace as the leader in providing premium network experiences today & for the future

    What you will be doing:

  • Own, create and evolve our long-term network marketing vision & strategy for CBU wireless (Rogers/Fido/Chatr) with heavy interlock and accountability with CBU wireline and EBU. 
  • Develop a long-term roadmap (18 months+) for how we will deliver on our strategy, including how we will win network leadership perception in all our priority regions and markets across Canada.
  • Defining the Canadian network marketing claims & messaging roadmap we will deliver on to drive what the Rogers network should be know for and how we will get there.   
  • Define the marketing strategy behind our evolution into 5G, including how we manage IOT leadership messaging, our smart city marketing approach for CBU, strategic partnerships, etc.  
  • Stay informed/educated on global trends, and longer term strategic implications in the market that would evolve our network positon/proposition in Canada – ensuring you are driving the recommendations on concepts and opportunities for the futures.
  • Continuously push the boundaries for where our technology value proposition can take us (18+ months out).   
  • Manage the on-going research & customer Insights needed to continue to define our KPI for network performance & monitoring our success (and opportunities for improvement) in achieving them
  • Work closely with the Network Marketing & Strategy team to determine areas of opportunity and stay connected to where investments are being made, the network customer experience, and how to ensure our future value proposition is tightly integrate our investment strategy
  • Keep an overall RCI approach and mindset when supporting each brands longer term network innovation & vision
  • Be the champion on finding the most optimal approach to achieving overall RCI targets across all 3 brands + EBU + CBU residential
  • Have a complete understanding of how our network experience is delivered, overall and unique to each region.
  • Work closely with the regional network product and marketing teams, brand marketing leads, network/IT teams, municipal specialists, sales team, customer base management team, regional councils and corporate strategy team to bring the long-term regional network roadmap to life for the organization
  • Have a strong understanding of the regional priorities and challenges, both linked to network, but overall as well

  • A sense of humor and love for making technology relevant to a consumer and the marketplace!
  • A self starter, driven, action oriented personality with a proven ability to achieve KPI’s
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks/budgets (with high ELT visibility) simultaneously under extremely tight timelines and within budget
  • A proven ability to challenge status quo, think outside the box, and come to the table with creative solutions to problems everyday
  • Solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills at all levels throughout the organization
  • Strong communications and persuasion skills (written and oral) to all levels throughout the organization
  • Strong project management skills, GTM experience an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills
  • Has a natural flair for industry leading communications techniques
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, networks and regional experience an asset
  • Candidate location is flexible
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Telecommunications Industry in a marketing, strategy, or network product management role.
