Senior Manager Income Tax

The Senior Tax Manager role will work closely with the income tax team and other internal stakeholders with a primary focus on identifying tax saving opportunities, managing risk and assisting with the tax compliance and provision processes. This person will report to the Director Income Tax and will be based out of our Toronto location.



  • Be the primary point of contact at Rogers for all non-resident income tax withholding tax issues including compliance, research and advice
  • Assist with special projects, including analyzing business transactions (e.g. acquisitions, divestitures, business restructurings, reorganizations) for tax and accounting implications, and related research
  • Assist with research and implementation in respect of tax saving activities, engaging accounting and compliance teams to ensure transactions are accurately documented and reported
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and provision as required
  • Calculate and track adjusted tax basis, safe income and paid-up capital
  • Assist and help identify possible tax saving opportunities
  • Monitor legislative changes that may impact Rogers
  • Assist with tax audits as needed



  • CPA designation
  • 5+ years of progressive Canadian corporate tax experience
  • CICA In-Depth Tax Course level I and II is preferred
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to understand legal agreements to determine Canadian tax risks
  • Oracle experience desirable
  • Self-motivated and proactive with respect to managing workload and professional development
