Sportsnet is looking for a deeply passionate Sports fan and skilled production leader to join our team as a Senior Producer. As the Senior Producer, the successful candidate will lead a talented team who combine creativity, sports knowledge, journalism instincts, and content production expertise to create industry-leading content seen by Canadian sports fans. Perhaps more importantly, they will understand, analyze, and react to the rapidly evolving media landscape, marketplace and fan consumption habits in order to position Sportsnet for continued success in years to come.

What you will do… 

  • Oversee Production of key News & Information, Digital, and Social Media initiatives
  • Lead the development and execution of properties such as Tim and Friends and SN Central
  • Assist in the development and execution of the strategy for Sportsnet News and Information programing
  • Ensure team is motivated and committed to producing the best in class
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to newsroom staff through effective feedback, coaching, and personalized development
  • Work with the broader Sportsnet Production teams on all live event broadcasts to ensure we are bringing sports fans a consistent, engaging experience across all our platforms
  • Develop and communicate new and unique ways of storytelling
  • Collaborate with Sales and Branded Content teams to execute and develop new sponsored initiatives
  • Collaborate with Design team to execute effective and clear creative elements for production and sponsorships
  • Create and manage schedules to effectively meet production needs
  • Partner with Assignment Desk and ENG Camera Operators to effectively cover daily News stories that matter most to sports fans
