The Rogers for Business Product Management team is tasked with managing a vast array of products through their lifecycle from idea creation to end of life.  The Sr. Product Manager, Wholesale Services must possess a blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, the drive to make that vision a reality, and the ability to drive product growth in a rapidly change market. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in current and legacy Services.  This role is critical to the successful execution of the Rogers Wholesale strategy.  Focusing on the wireline product portfolio, you will be accountable to create a wholesale road map and implement a roadmap that drives customer experience through cross portfolio solutions.  If you are ready to be the leader in the Canadian Market in wireline services – this role is for you.  You enjoy identifying trends, understand customer problems, and finding innovative solutions for the market. You must also work extremely well with internal Network, IT and other cross functional teams to deliver on the technical enhancements and maturation of the current and soon-to-be current versions of Rogers’ wireline portfolio.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive strategy and ensure an end to end approach to drive wholesale solutions across the portfolio.
  • Represent the Wholesale portfolio and champion requirements for service expansion and other cross functional initiatives.
  • Leverage all aspects of Rogers network to ensure all stakeholders are engaged on advancement of product portfolio to meet P&L objectives
  • Collaborate & evolve wholesale product strategy within the wireline portfolio (short and long term requirements
  • Canvass other markets, carriers, and technology vendors for new ideas to differentiate Rogers
  • Evaluate technologies/platforms already in the network to understand how they can be leveraged for Rogers for Business
  • Determine platforms, enablers, or other systems needed to support the products and solutions for Rogers for Business
  • Prioritization and optimization of program delivery activities and trade-off management with business and technical teams
  • Work with IT, Network and Vendors to develop customer friendly products and services that meet the business requirements for R4B
  • Work with IT, Network and Vendors to develop customer friendly cost saving methodologies to
  • Prepare Capital requests and assist in business case development
  • Ensure that wholesale product revisions are communicated properly, and that product and services are ready for customers
  • Work with business/technologies teams to deal with life cycle issues to ensure a superior customer experience.
  • Set clear performance standards and guidance on achievement

 

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of Wholesale wireline experience preferably in an Engineering or Product Management.
  • University degree, engineering or business equivalent preferred
  • Experience with MPLS, Ethernet, Wavelength, Internet, Cable, LTE, SDWAN, and Microwave.
  • Experience with networking technologies preferred
  • Strong understanding of the wholesale wireline market, emerging trends, drivers and requirements
  • Understanding of the unique requirements for customer use of infrastructure components and the value added services required to layer in addition to core services
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage many conflicting priorities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, changing working environment
  • Self-motivated and a Team Player with the ability to exercise decisions with confidence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Calm, confident and able to learn quickly on the job as needed.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, rapid changes and aggressive timelines
  • Holds self-accountable for achieving established performance objectives.
  • Proven ability to impact, influence and interact within the various levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and independently on multiple simultaneous tasks within a fast paced customer service oriented environment.

  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Creativity, adaptability and a strong understanding of the customer needs
  • Experience working with IT, sales processes, pricing and marketing.
