What we’re looking for
FLARE is looking for a Senior Social Media Editor with at least two years of experience working at a media company, agency or brand. You live on your phone, understand tone, are fluent in all major and emerging platforms (as well as their constantly changing algorithms) and you always know what’s trending. Your mission? To drive millennial women to FLARE’s smart, funny, award-winning content.
 
What you’ll be doing
•Developing, supporting and maintaining FLARE’s social media strategy
•Contributing daily story ideas and resurfacing existing content based on what is trending
•Increasing engagement and referral rates across platforms
•Maintaining FLARE tone across all platforms

•Supporting, mentoring and overseeing the work of FLARE's social media assistant and/or social media intern
•Analyzing metrics and adapting overall digital content strategies accordingly
•Liaising with marketing lead on Search Engine Marketing and social boosting
•Compiling and analyzing monthly traffic reports
•Developing SEO strategy for major FLARE initiatives, such as our annual #HowIMadeIt list
•Overseeing sponsored posts for sales and the branded content group
•Ensuring that FLARE surpasses its 2018 social goals
 
What you have
•A post-secondary degree
•At least two years of experience in social media management, at a major agency or brand
•Fluency in analytics tools such as Hootsuite, Chartbeat, Omniture, BuzzSumo, CrowdTangle and Google Analytics
•The ability to nimbly switch strategies based on minute-by-minute metrics analysis
•A high proficiency in WordPress and Photoshop
•A strong understanding of native analytics tools across all major social media platforms
•Strong drive and initiative
•Excellent time management skills
•A willingness to embrace change with a positive, can-do attitude

Internal: Editorial team, audience development team, video team, sales and branded content teams
External: Industry contacts
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
You may be required to work overtime and weekends
