Rogers Bank is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to lead the technical development of the Data Governance program on the Data Insights team. This position reports to and supports the Senior Manager and Data Governance Lead, Data Insights.  The position requires you to develop workflows that are triggered within the Data Governance tool Collibra and lead any technical components of the tool (i.e. upgrades, updates) that reside in the Cloud, on a Windows VM and on a Linux VM.

What you will do:

  • Maintain security settings within Collibra
  • Upgrade and maintain Collibra software located on the on-premise job-servers (scheduled and hot fixes)
  • Troubleshoot issues with job server software by reading and understanding Collibra-issued logs
  • Test and identify issues with functionalities and work with Collibra Support on resolution
  • Document upgraded job-server functionality in departmental documentation and training materials
  • From verbal or written requirements, analyze, architect, document, code, test and deploy new workflows
  • Analyze, document, optimize and maintain existing workflows
  • Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for workflow issues
  • Maintain technical documentation
  • Support Senior Manager in populating and maintaining the Collibra assets
  • Support Senior Manager in promoting assets through the Collibra life cycle (asset creation to certification)

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Java developer
  • Bachelor or Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of Collibra
  • Working knowledge of the Windows and Linux environments and proficiency of Java and how it is used to develop Workflows
  • Experience with BPMN 2.0, Oracle SQL Developer, Eclipse, and Visio or equivalent workflow display tools
  • Experience with MobaXTerm, RemoteDeskTop, and MuleSoft an asset but not required
  • Ability to innovate and design solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as take initiative
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism and discretion regarding confidential information
