As a Serviceability Analyst you will be a part of the Enterprise Business Unit Data and Analytics team. You will be responsible for (1) identifying and prequalifying serviceable locations based on analyzing network topology, (2) reconciling serviceability discrepancies between internal systems, (3) responding to bulk serviceability requests as well as (4) updating and maintaining geospatial datasets.

As a serviceability analyst you must possess (1) an unwavering attention to detail and record accuracy, (2) the patience to manually verify large volumes of data, and (3) an ability to work with large datasets via standard database platforms.


What you'll be doing:

  • Manually verify business location and attribute information using internal geospatial applications
  • Data mine internal and external data sources using various data-extraction methodologies
  • Work with interdepartmental groups to understand process flows and data requirements
  • Analyze data to ensure validity and reliability of gathered information
  • Visually represent serviceability information using GIS applications
  • Leverage geospatial analysis to find actionable, value-added solutions to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and create datasets as necessary
  • Filter, clean and transform data into information, insight, and actionable business decisions using geospatial ETL tools
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide recommendations and insight


What you bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, Computer Science or Geographic Sciences
  • Attention to detail and concern for record accuracy – an absolute requirement
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills
  • Comfortable working with large datasets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • GIS software knowledge; e.g., QGIS
  • Tolerance for manual activities and data ambiguity
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with Oracle, Hadoop, SAS, Visual Basic, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong sense of ownership, drive and desire
  • Self-starter with proven organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Familiarity with telecom networks is an asset
