The Microsoft Solutions Architect plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise solutions leveraging Microsoft technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, software development, and business processes to provide scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that meet organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and other Microsoft enterprise solutions. They will work closely with sales, engineering, and customer success teams to deliver innovative and effective technology solutions that drive business value, including large-scale migrations and process automation.

 

What you'll be doing:

 

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise solutions using Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint and other collaboration platforms.

  • Develop high-level and detailed technical designs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and customer requirements.

  • Evaluate and recommend Microsoft solutions that align with business goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and scalability.

  • Provide expertise on Microsoft Azure services, Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint Online, Exchange, and Teams), Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.

 

Technical Leadership & Support

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Microsoft cloud solutions and large and small scale data migrations, guiding internal teams and external clients on best practices.

  • Assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.

  • Work with development teams to create proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions for potential clients.

  • Stay updated on emerging Microsoft technologies, updates, and security best practices.

 

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Collaborate with the sales team to assess customer needs and develop tailored Microsoft-based solutions.

  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations.

  • Create and deliver compelling technical proposals, statements of work (SOW), and architectural documentation.

  • Support RFP responses by providing technical expertise and solution design recommendations.

 

Implementation & Governance

  • Oversee the successful deployment and migration of Microsoft cloud solutions, emphasizing reliability and seamless customer experiences.

  • Establish governance frameworks, policies, and best practices for cloud adoption and management.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards, data governance policies, and industry regulations.

  • Monitor system performance and optimize solutions for efficiency and cost savings.

 

Collaboration & Continuous Learning

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams—including IT, development, security, and business units—to align solutions with business objectives.

  • Provide mentorship and training to internal teams on Microsoft technologies, automation, and architectural principles.

  • Drive knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

 

 

What you will Bring:

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification required at hire or equivalent experience with certification to be obtained within 6 months.

  • Additional Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are a plus.

 

Experience & Skills

 

  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud computing, or enterprise IT environments.

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure services (networking, security, compute, storage, identity management) and Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange Online).

  • Experience with large-scale migrations—particularly SharePoint or other enterprise collaboration platforms—and automation tooling.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and automation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Terraform, ARM Templates, PowerShell).

  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures, on-premises integration strategies, and best practices for operational excellence.

  • Solid understanding of security and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week.
