The Solution Specialist, IoT Partner Engagement & Enablement will report to the Senior Manager, IoT in the Rogers Solution Centre of Excellence. The purpose of the role is to ensure acceleration of IoT sales within Rogers’ Partner Channels nationally to meet the budget, top line growth targets and open new channels to market. This role will work with Partner Business Managers, VARs and Dealers across the country to drive IoT solution sales, help to build strategic partnerships, sales tactics for partners, and close training gaps. 

The candidate must have a strong understanding and experience with the IoT industry, various ecosystem solutions and customer and market opportunity.  This role will also partner closely with the IoT product teams to develop better go to market plans, improve customer messaging and participate in product and strategic planning to ultimately meet the IoT budget. 

What you'll be doing:

 Partner Identification, Enablement & Training:

  • Work with Partner Business Mangers to identify existing and new channel partners who will promote Rogers IoT Solutions. 
  • Act as the liaison between the Partners and internal IoT Sales, Product and Support teams. 
  • Assist the Sales Development team in facilitating training and creating tools for the partner channel.  Specifically, accountable for; Product & Services training, Day to Day Tools, Systems and Process training, etc
  • Identify the need for, create and deliver supplemental training as required
  • Identify skill gaps and process gaps within the organization, working with internal teams to improve the Partner and Customer experience. 

Sales Opportunity Participation:

  • Work strategically with our Partner Sales teams, leveraging your technical & business knowledge of the IoT ecosystem to promote and win business in competitive situations
  • Actively participate in customer meetings as required, reviewing the customer’s requirements using a consultative approach.
  • Record/document all requirements and outcomes from meetings
  • Leverage all Rogers resources to help you design and document the best possible Rogers solution(s) based on the customer requirements (business, budgetary and technical).
  • Clearly communicate the value of your solution to the prospective customer and promote the benefits of and endorse Rogers in collaboration with the Partner; Product demonstrations, Solution presentations, and support Proof of Concepts
  • Clearly communicate how best to differentiate Rogers against the competition in each given scenario
  • Ensure appropriate setting of customer expectations with respect to product solution, Rogers and Customer provisioning activities and reasonable provisioning timelines.

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma certification in a business-related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in IoT industry.
  • Experience in enabling Channel partners for success. 
  • Strong business development and operational skills, with experience in growing and developing new channels
  • Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to respond to customer inquiries via telephone as well as email in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Presentation, negotiation, contract and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in working in a continuous fast-paced and changing industry
  • Use of a personal vehicle for business purposes is required
  • Bilingual an asset
