Channel Marketing Specialist Job Description
Reporting to Senior Manager Channel Marketing, the Channel Marketing Specialist will support the Branded and Partner Retail primes and work closely with cross functional marketing, consumer sales channel, and regional sales teams to manage Corporate, Dealer and Partner Retail programs and oversee execution for the Rogers, Fido and chatr brand. The ideal candidate will also deliver a consistent and integrated experience across all consumer sales channels while serving as an escalation point and a subject matter expert for channel programs.
Responsibilities:
- Support with execution and delivery of marketing, operational, engagement, and process improvement programs including product and service launches, incentives, and training programs
- Liaise with cross-functional partners including Product, Pricing, and Marketing to develop program requirements and present channel plans as it relates to the channel priorities
- Maintain and present weekly/quarterly program updates and strategies to various levels of leadership within the channel
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our channel partners and regional sales teams while coaching for performance and adhering to program standards
- Rotating weekend coverage
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications industry in a sales and support environment
- Post-secondary education in a business-related field or equivalent experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint)
- Ability to work positively and productively in times of change and ambiguity.
- Proven ability to impact, influence and interact within the various levels within the organization.
- Able to work effectively and independently on multiple, simultaneous tasks within a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to present, recommend and sell
- solutions for the consumer sales channels
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills
- Solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills
