We are looking for a strong leader to join the Digital Media team within Rogers as Sr. Manager, Mobile and Connected Device Delivery.  In this role, you will be responsible for re-imagining the mobile experience for some of Canada’s most well-known brands such as Sportsnet, Citytv, 680News, Kiss 92.5, CHFI and more!  


What you will do:
•    Provide leadership to the teams developing products powering the Rogers Digital Sports and Media platforms
•    Oversee the iOS, Android, Smart TV, Xbox, PlayStation, Roku, etc. roadmaps
•    Directly manage, hire, and oversee developers, project manager, business systems analysts and managers. Growing and mentoring these individuals in their career path
•    Work with a variety of software vendors to identify and implement key features and functionality that will add value to the department portfolio
•    Provide leadership to a team of mobile managers and connected device developers and work collaboratively across teams to deliver, and implement development initiatives
•    Work closely with business and product teams to deliver the best user experience for our customers
•    Hire, coach, develop and retain competent and engaged staff to achieve personal, professional, and corporate objectives
•    Accountable for end-to-end delivery of features, enhancements, and projects
•    Implement processes, best practices, and tools allow for multiple paths of delivery
•    Support culture growth and developer experience, be the voice for proper mobile architecture practices
•    Maintain and improve existing in market apps by supporting regular code reviews
•    Support Agile ceremonies (Daily scrums, backlog grooming, sprint planning, etc.)

What you will bring:
•    You have previous experience as a Sr. Manager with excellent people management skills and the ability to hire and grow a talented team of developers
•    Proficient with the Agile framework and how teams should be working within it.
•    Strong understanding of SDLC, software development life cycle, from concept to deployment and monitoring.
•    Experience leading developers across all levels
•    Experience with mobile software design principles and structure, including CICD, Jenkins pipelines
•    Proven ability to balance and reconcile the needs of product and business with the long-term vision of technology and software
•    Track record of managing and mentoring technical teams and progressing the career trajectory of employees.
•    Capability of breaking down large development projects and prioritizing work against aggressive timelines
•    Experience working with distributed teams across multiple business verticals
•    Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical professionals.
