Sr Payroll Analyst

We are currently seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our internal payroll delivery team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the area of payroll and working knowledge of benefits, workforce management and tax. This person should also have the ability to interface with employees, use critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems and work as an SME to other members of the team

Ideal candidate we are looking for:

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM or similar cloud payroll technology.
  • 5-8 years of payroll processing experience in a high volume payroll operation. End to end payroll experience a plus.
  • Working towards getting Industry related certifications.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) an asset
  • Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) an asset
  • Requires an understanding of payroll, benefits and taxation and an understanding of applicable legislative requirements.
  • Knowledge in Year End Tax Slip Reporting and Reconciliation.
  • Experience building and reviewing potential audits as required.
  • Ability to resolve employee issues and provide superior customer service to business partners.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, technically and effectively with business partners.
  • Experience working in a case management system is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Working experience with Excel, formulas, vlookups, pivots.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
