Rogers Sports and Media (RSM) is seeking a Professional with data-driven experience to fill the role of Sr. Product Analyst, Data Product.  As a Sr. Product Analyst, you will be part of the Data Product team and supporting new ideas, product roadmap development, product requirements gathering, and team planning.

This role is a unique opportunity to work on a technology-focused team that’s building RSM’s data future. You’re the right individual if you’re curious-minded who will enjoy learning about RSM’s different businesses - such as Sports, News & Entertainment, and Advertising - while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Applied Sciences and Data Engineering. Each business has different data needs, but we solve their tough problems on reporting, analytics, marketing campaign automation, audience segmentation, direct-to-consumer acquisition & subscription management.


What you will do...

  • Gather product requirements, consulting with the wider Data Product Managers and business stakeholders, and work with subject matter experts within the Applied Science teams
  • Support with managing the product roadmap which defines our vision and strategy
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to understand business and user needs to prioritize work
  • Create user stories in Jira to break down epics, assist with any product-related clarifications, participate in scrum rituals, identify dependencies, and help manage the product backlog
  • Develop and measure products metrics to drive product growth
  • Continuously seek new ways to improve processes across the Data Product team
  • Build strong relationships across the company to help solve problems together


What you will bring...

  • Experience in any of data analytics, big data, martech, adtech, or project management
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to continually learn new technologies and interpret how they apply to our business
  • Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum and proficiency in using project management tools such as Jira
  • Experience with any of the following: data warehouses (Microsoft Azure), reporting tools (DOMO, PowerBI), martech (Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), adtech (Google Ad Manager, DSPs, SSPs, Google DV360), data science tools (Jupyter Notebooks, Databricks)
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL is a nice-to-have
  • Ability to tell stories with data, create presentations, and present to senior management
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other team members
  • Strong self-management, self-pacing, and organizational skills necessary
  • Ability to understand objectives and communicate with non-technical partners
  • Excellent time management, problems solving skills and capacity to work independently
