Sr. Product Data Analyst
Who we're looking for:
Rogers Sports and Media (RSM) is seeking a professional with data-driven experience to fill the role of a Sr. Product Data Analyst. As a Sr. Product Data Analyst, you will be part of the Data Product team and support new ideas, product roadmap development, product requirements gathering, and team planning.
This role is a unique opportunity to work on a technology-focused team that's building RSM's data future. You're the right individual if you're curious-minded and enjoy working with data and advertising platforms to develop advertising solutions. We solve challenging data problems such as reporting, analytics, advertising campaign automation, and audience segmentation.
What you'll do:
- Gather product requirements for the data-driven Advertising and DTC (Direct-to- Consumer) Data Analytics products, consult with the broader Core Data Team, and work with subject matter experts from other teams (Data Science, Data Engineering, Enterprise IT etc).
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, sales, and the ad ops team to support our advertising and data analytics products and ensure efficient feature delivery.
- Support managing the Data product roadmap for Advanced Advertising and DTC Data Analytics products which defines our vision and strategy.
- Create user stories in Jira to break down epics, assist with any advertising and DTC product-related clarifications, identify dependencies, and help manage the product backlog.
- Oversee operational and capital forecasts for the Data Advertising portfolio, partnering with Finance on budget planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to identify new features, project implementations, or maintenance, and finalize contracts and statements of work (SOWs).
- Build strong relationships across the company to help solve problems together.
What you'll bring:
- 4+ years of experience in any of data analytics, big data, martech, adtech, or product management.
- Experience with any of the following technologies: data warehouses (Microsoft Azure), data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake), reporting tools (DOMO, PowerBI), martech (Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), Nice to have: adtech (Google Ad Manager, DSPs, SSPs, Google DV360), data science tools (Jupyter Notebooks).
- Experience with relational databases and SQL is preferred.
- Experience with building digital products and web applications is a nice-to-have.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to continually learn new technologies and interpret how they apply to our data-driven advertising business.
- Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum and Jira.
- Ability to tell stories with data, create presentations, and present to senior management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other team members.
- Strong self-management, self-pacing, and organizational skills necessary.
- Ability to understand objectives and communicate with non-technical partners.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving skills, and capacity to work independently.
