Senior Analyst, Data & Ad Product Strategy

The Senior Analyst work with the new Consumer Solutions and Ad Product team and the Sales Leadership Team to develop and implement plans and priorities that help Rogers Media meet its long-term strategic objectives. The group is a new, nimble team, with a mandate to transform and strengthen digital revenue models across Rogers’ diverse media assets.


The focus is on leading the development of the road map for the Rogers Media’s data plan. The Analyst will also support decision-making, through targeted analysis, syndication, and working team leadership and will help drive project execution where required. The work environment will be heavily team-based, requiring the individual to work in a collaborative environment, including clients across the business.


Key activities will include:

  • Problem Solving & Insight: Provide insight and well-supported conclusions to help resolve business choices
  • Understand and help identify the specific challenges and opportunities facing Rogers Media
  • Shape the analysis and outline key steps required to resolve specific issues
  • Develop actionable recommendations for key business decisions and/or transactions
  • Build accurate financial and analytical models and synthesize insight from this analysis


Communications & Presence: Communicate effectively with clients and teams in various mediums and situations

  • Credibly and effectively communicate findings, both orally and in writing
  • Add constructively to debate and dialogue with facts and reason; challenge assumptions and inputs
  • Facilitate working sessions with extended team and senior business leaders


Project Management: Lead smaller projects and/or specific work-steams of a larger project

  • Develop work-plans to coordinate cross-team activities
  • Produce quality deliverables on time and as committed
  • Implement agreed upon solutions, managing stakeholders and project activities to completion
  • Multi-task effectively, juggling multiple projects and/or work-streams at one time


Client Interaction: Build respectful and productive relationships with business leads and project team members

  • Manage independently in a variety of circumstances e.g., one-on-one, small groups
  • Serve as strategic thought partner to the Business Development group’s senior leadership


Contribution and Collaboration: Work collaboratively and effectively across the organization

  • Facilitate effective interaction across business units and functional lines of business
  • Act independently and take on challenges willingly
  • Contribute to the growth and engagement of the business development team



  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Secondary degree/diploma/certification or a Master’s degree an asset
  • 1 to 3+ years work experience in strategy, at a management consulting firm, investment bank, or similar roles, with media experience preferred
  • Proven analytical, financial modeling and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational acumen and teamwork skills
  • Strong communications (written & oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of presence - confident and comfortable working with senior management
  • Strong time management capabilities, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and objectives
  • Strong sense of initiative and a self-starter who can work equally well in groups or on their own
  • Results oriented, flexible and willing to work in a multi-task and dynamic work environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
