The Senior Compensation Analyst role is responsible for executing the set of operational processes driving the organization’s equity compensation programs, contributing to the analysis for and updates to the material to communicate compensation programs to the Human Resources Committee of the Board, and providing subject matter expertise on related processes to Finance and Compensation team members. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Compensation. 


What you will be doing: 

  • Working with vendor, Payroll, and Finance partners, ensure timely and accurate processing of required monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc transactions and supporting processes, including:
    • Creating, loading, and validating annual and off-cycle grant and payout files
    • Preparing and validating regulatory filings and dividend equivalents files
    • Conducting equity analyses, modelling, and testing
    • Supporting, updating, and distributing participant communications
    • Ensuring all process documentation is accurate and current
  • Analysing and modelling data for new plan designs and plan changes and updating material for Human Resources Committee of the Board, including drafting agendas and posting final material for Committee members.
  • Continuously identifying and implementing process improvements in all areas.


What you have: 

  • University degree / College diploma in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
  • 2-4+ years experience with the application of equity compensation knowledge within a large organization or consulting firm
  • Strong knowledge of HR and Compensation theory, principles and practices
  • Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation and/or Certified Compensation Practitioner (CCP) an asset
  • The ability to produce accurate, high-quality, well-presented material suitable for review by senior executives and Board members
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, planning and organization skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel skills
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple deliverables/deadlines, be flexible and adaptable, and work in a complex, changing work environment
