Opportunity to work as a key member of the Finance System Support Group and be an integral part of the successful value added practices being developed and implemented throughout the business. You will act as the gatekeeper of all Oracle ERP reporting requests, validate that the requests are not redundant, and are required to support the business processes within Oracle applications. Your primary role will be to interrupt and support the business community with their reporting and Capitalization process requirements.  You will ensure all reporting has been thoroughly tested and support the end-to-end Capitalization process.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide first level support to the end user community for Project Costing, Fixed Assets, and Oracle ERP reporting;
  • Review, monitor or modify batch jobs as part of the Capitalization process to ensure their successful completion;
  • Review and monitor any data exceptions, investigating the data exceptions to determine root cause and work with the appropriate parties within IT or Finance to provide short term and long term solutions;
  • Ensure timelines are accurately reflected, customer expectations are set and met for any deliverable;
  • Support projects to enhance system functionality to improve business processes
  • Perform month end tasks related to the Capitalization process;
  • Support and assist Finance with other month-end reporting close activities or adhoc queries;
  • Conduct audit or SOX related testing with external auditors;
  • Review and assist with gathering of reporting requirements and manage the report development cycle for all ERP modules;
  • Maintain report listing and provide this information to the customer community;
  • Ensure consistency and best practices are followed with respect to SQL development and out of the box functionality is administered;
  • Provide training for Reporting tools to the business community and ensure the training material is up-to-date;
  • Outline and manage the testing protocol and ensure it complies with IT standards;
  • Support QA testing cycle for any Oracle ERP initiatives;


Position Qualifications:

  • University degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Computer Science, preferably with an analytical focus
  • In-depth knowledge of Project Costing, Oracle Time and Labor and Fixed Assets Oracle ERP modules is required 
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL is required
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Schema (i.e. where the information is stored within Oracle tables) is required
  • Knowledge of Noetix Administration and Web Query Tool is required
  • Knowledge of Oracle Discoverer Reporting Tool is required
  • Familiar with Oracle ERP Cloud offerings
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team drive, deadline oriented environment
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, problem solve and take initiative
  • Minimum of five (5) years related work experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Accounting and Finance knowledge would be an asset.
