The Senior Manager, Investor Relations will report to the Senior Director, Investor Relations, and will be key to supporting the company’s investor relations activities.
This is a role for an individual with Investor Relations experience, capital markets, or related finance experience in the areas of equity research, corporate reporting, operations, treasury, M&A or other. The individual will be an experienced professional that brings not only functional capabilities in a large cap environment, but also a demonstrated business acumen and strong relationship skills. This role will demand demonstrated success interacting with senior management with an advanced ability to collect, analyse, interpret, and communicate financial and operational data.
The Senior Manager will be charged with supporting and executing the Investor Relations program in areas including:
• Quarterly results preparation including coordinating conference calls, drafting and reviewing press releases, reviewing the MD&A and other financial materials, developing the webcast presentation, building prep materials, as well as other supporting documents,
• Use of capital market tools and platforms for investor targeting and broad corporate / financial analysis,
• Support & lead investor conferences, investor calls and other investor marketing events,
• Preparation of quarterly other ad-hoc board presentations,
• Collaborating and supporting various teams including controllers, external reporting, FP&A, communications, legal, treasury, corporate development, business unit finance, and our corporate social responsibility team,
• Summarizing and distributing sell-side research,
• Performing competitive and industry benchmarking on Rogers,
• Providing capital markets insight & recommendations to the Company,
• Leading the dissemination of Investor Relations press releases externally,
• Interacting with the investment community on behalf of the Company when required,
• ESG Investor support with the broad sustainability and social impact teams,
• AGM support to the legal and communications team,
• Annual Report support with the financial reporting team,
• Working with internal communications to provide updates on the investor relations website.
What you will bring:
• 7-10 years relevant work experience in Investor Relations, and/or experience in finance, corporate strategy or equity research. A financial designation and/or a CPIR designation is considered an asset.
• Experience and knowledge in the telecommunications industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial models, equity markets, accounting. corporate finance and regulated markets.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and discretion.
• Capable of demonstrating initiative and independence in carrying out multiple tasks, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• A self-starter who takes initiative to bring forward insightful and incremental pieces of work that are value add to the team or Company.
• Ability to work well with all levels of employees and demonstrate strong teaming and partnering skills.
• An extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Brings flexibility to work outside of normal business hours – the Senior Manager will be required to work early mornings or late nights as required.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on an as needed basis as part of the role.
