Who we are lookingfor:
The Senior Manager will be a key member of the Credit Risk Management team and will lead the design and execution of authorization, exposure management and collection strategies for the credit cards portfolio. The position will lead the portfolio management team, partner with internal and external stakeholders and directly influence credit losses and the profitability of the Rogers Bank’s credit card portfolio.
What you'll do:
- Provide thought leadership for the portfolio management team to support the growth and evolution of Rogers Bank’s credit card portfolio. Seek out new sources of data and new analytical capabilities, work with predictive modelling team to develop new scores.
- Accountable for the development, execution, and monitoring of portfolio management strategies (Exposure Management, Overlimit Authorization, Pricing and Collections) in TRIAD.
- Report to management on credit environment and strategy performance of key decision areas. Conduct deep dives into portfolio segments; stay connected with industry and economic trends.
- Present strategy proposals to Enterprise Risk Management Committee, ensure consensus with key stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor direct reports. Advocate for further team expansion to support bank’s growth goals.
- Monitor the composition of the Bank’s credit portfolio to ensure adherence to risk appetite and net loss forecast.
- Contribute to budget forecasting process; liaise with finance to quantify impact of credit risk strategies on existing portfolio and with respect to new initiatives.
What you bring:
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressively responsible roles in consumer credit risk analytics preferably within a credit card lender.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Economics or equivalent quantitative field.
- Strong data analysis skills including familiarity with: SQL, SAS, Knowledge Studio, Python or R.
- Expertise in TRIAD/Strategy Director/Blaze required; Decision Optimizer are considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of TS2 system, TS2 data, and Canadian bureau.
- In depth knowledge of modelling, sound analytical and business acumen with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Proficient with data visualization tools and Microsoft office applications.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in order to address technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
- Self-starter, able to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks with minimum supervision with strong attention to detail.
