The Sr. Manager, Enterprise Risk Management will provide strategic leadership and oversight in the management of both financial and non-financial risks, ensuring the Bank maintains a robust governance framework. This role is pivotal in aligning risk management practices with the company’s strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and emerging industry best practices. The Sr. Manager will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and the Executive Leadership Team to enhance the organization’s risk methodologies and foster a culture of risk awareness throughout the Bank.
What you'll do:
- Design and implement risk management strategies, policies, and frameworks to align with the Bank’s organizational objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead the strategic direction of risk management initiatives, ensuring integration with the company’s long-term goals and strategic plans.
- Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of key risks, including strategic, credit, capital, liquidity, operational, and regulatory risks.
- Serve as a key member of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, collaborating cross-functionally to prepare and deliver high-quality materials for executive and Board-level discussions.
- Provide guidance to ensure effective management of risk exposures across business lines, with a focus on both financial and non-financial risks.
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to anticipate emerging risks, while identifying opportunities for risk optimization.
- Lead the development and enhancement of risk assessment methodologies, including metrics and models for monitoring risk exposures.
- Build and lead a team of risk management professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across the Bank.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators, auditors, and other external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
- Promote risk awareness through training, communication, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across all levels of the Bank.
What you'll have:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, governance, or related fields, with a strong understanding of both financial and non-financial risk frameworks.
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent is an asset.
- Proven track record in leading risk management strategies and working closely with Senior Leadership, including VP+ and Executive Committees.
- Experience in developing strategic roadmaps and integrating risk management initiatives into broader business objectives.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in team building, coaching, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Deep understanding of risk analytics, metrics, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex risk information to Senior Leadership, Auditors, and Regulators in a clear and cohesive manner.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, and Risk Management Systems; experience in using data-driven approaches to challenge critical business processes.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive continuous improvement in risk management practices.
- Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective at building relationships and working cross-functionally to drive risk-awareness.
- Proactive problem-solver, adept at identifying risk-related issues and developing timely mitigation strategies.

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
