Who we're looking for:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Design System, Learn & Support, the Sr. Digital Product Designer will collaborate with product, UX, engineering, marketing, and digital analytics teams to create user-centered experiences for customer-facing and internal digital platforms, including responsive websites, mobile applications, and agent tools. From concept to execution, your work will ensure that every interaction reflects the Rogers brand, enhances customer journeys, and achieves measurable outcomes.

What you will do:

  • Experience Design & Strategy:
    • Lead the design of user-first digital experiences that align with Rogers’ business objectives and design principles.
    • Develop UX deliverables, including site journeys, user flows, wireframes, information architectures, and functional specifications based on research, best practices, and business needs.
    • Advocate for accessible, responsive, and user-centered design, ensuring usability and compliance with AODA/WCAG standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, UX, development, analytics, marketing) to design intuitive and engaging experiences.
  • Design System Leadership & Optimization:
    • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Rogers’ design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across digital products.
    • Work closely with the Design Systems team to create reusable, high-quality components that adhere to accessibility standards and best practices.
    • Ensure design solutions align with brand, UX, and development guidelines while fostering innovation and efficiency.
  • User Research & Performance Optimization:
    • In collaboration with the Personalization & Optimization team conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and multivariate testing to validate and refine designs.
    • Analyze data from heatmaps, usability studies, and analytics tools to optimize digital experiences.
    • Leverage user research and behavioral insights to drive data-informed design decisions.
  • Project Management & Collaboration:
    • Partner with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Channel Owners to help define strategic direction and customer experience improvements.
    • Manage UX initiatives from ideation through to implementation, ensuring a seamless transition from design to development.
    • Oversee design QA, ensuring the final product maintains design integrity and user experience goals.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay ahead of UX/UI trends, interaction patterns, and emerging technologies to keep Rogers’ digital experiences cutting-edge.
    • Experiment with new design techniques, interactive experiences, and innovative storytelling methods.
    • Promote a culture of design thinking, accessibility, and continuous learning within the Experience Design team.

 

What you will bring:

  • Expertise in Figma is a must, with experience in design systems, component libraries, and cross-platform design.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to measure and optimize content performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Design, or a related field.
  • +3 years of experience in product design, with a strong foundation in UX architecture, UI design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • +3 years of experience in UX architecture, designing for eCommerce platforms, mobile applications, and digital tools.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and work management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead UX projects and mentor junior designers, with a strong sense of accountability and project ownership.
  • Retail & Telecommunications Expertise: Experience in the retail and telecommunications industry is an asset, with an understanding of eCommerce and service journey analytics considered a bonus.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to confidently present and advocate for design decisions.
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles, UX/UI best practices, and information architecture.
