We're looking for a Sr. Product Manager, Sportsnet NOW.  

  

Rogers Sports & Media (RSM) has embarked on a journey of digital transformation. Key to this journey is a reimagination of what watching, listening to and experiencing sports and live events is all about. We want to ignite fandom, create community, and deliver the best sports viewing experience on the planet. 

  

This individual will have the amazing opportunity to drive the long-term vision of our SN NOW subscription service, with the goal of delivering the most personalized and engaging digital sports viewing experience in Canada. You will own the end-to-end responsibility for our OTT video platform and client apps and manage a team of product managers focused on achieving this goal.  You will obsess over ensuring our customers have access to the best sports content, with the highest quality video streaming.  You will focus every day on making our digital customers receive amazing video experiences that far exceed what has been possible with traditional TV distribution.  

  

What you will do...

  • Have the amazing opportunity to lead the overall product strategy and vision of the premier sports streaming platform in the Canada 
  • Inspire senior stakeholders and the rest of the team around a compelling long-term product vision  
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers towards our shared SN NOW goals 
  • Focus the entire team on the activities needed for delivering exceptional customer experiences for our SN NOW subscribers  
  • Develop the integrated product roadmap and align key stakeholders and product management team members on feature priorities, sequencing, delivery and launch plans 
  • Drive forward future video consumption experiences including low latency streaming, dynamic ad insertion, video interactivity, and more.   
  • Work closely with our video platform partner to focus on the future of video streaming, continuous improvement, and delivering our SN NOW specific requirements and business rules.  
  • Obsess over data and the critical details and metrics that deliver great viewing experiences 
  • Collaborate with media technology, IT development teams, customer support, our partners to clarify questions, remove roadblocks, evaluate trade-off to continuously improve our experience 
  • Relentlessly carry out competitive analysis and benchmarking of our service against leading OTT providers 
  • Closely monitor OTT video market trends and consumer behaviours   
  • Remain endlessly curious about changing user behaviour, technology, and the competitive landscape to deliver benefits to our customers and the overall business.     

  
What you will bring...

  • You have a strong desire to shape the future of sports video streaming in Canada  
  • You have experience in a product manager and/or product owner capacity in a video or app centric environment 
  • You have experience or interest in managing or mentoring other product managers  
  • You are a power user of video streaming devices and services 
  • You believe that the best digital products solve real user problems 
  • You are a passionate sports fan that loves consuming sports on digital devices  
  • You are deeply passionate about digital trends, emerging technologies and innovative user experiences, especially in the streaming video space
