NATURE AND SCOPE:


This position is responsible for overseeing the interviewing, hiring and managing of all game day staff within the Stadium Operations department plus the daily operations within the department.  This position will also work collaboratively with all departments to assist with their event operations needs in order to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our fans and is accountable for following up with customer service requests. This position is required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Recruitment of ushers, ticket takers and ambassadors
  • Assist in the creation and facilitation of training of all game day staff
  • Coach and support all game day supervisors in their daily activities
  • Create and oversee the reward and recognition program for all game day staff
  • Manage the annual review process for all PT Stadium Operations employees
  • Manage all aspects of the wardrobe department (staffing, uniform ordering, inventory, etc).
  • Oversee all incident report card tracking and reporting
  • Manage all related staffing costs throughout the year
  • Understand and adhere to the MLB BSOP
  • Work closely with the security department on the overall event plan as well as to assist in the planning and delivery of emergency exercises, tabletops, drills, etc.
  • Assist in developing, analyzing and implementing operational budgets and capital expense budgets for the department

 

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Post-secondary education is a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in end-to-end management of large numbers of staff
  • Excellent communication skills complimented with a friendly and professional telephone/in person manner with superior commitment to service excellence, customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Prior training facilitation experience is an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines.
  • Ability to work with accuracy in an unsupervised environment.
  • Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekend and holidays as required.
  • Willingness to learn new computer applications.
  • Ability to approach and resolve issues with impartial regard.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Employment Legislation is preferred.
  • Ability to legally work in Canada.
  • Knowledge of AODA an asset
