Overview:

As a Sportsnet Production Operator you will be reporting to the Operations Manager.  Your role within Rogers will be working in a live control room, switching live control room production.  Productions include:  Sportsnet Central, Blue Jays Central, SoccerCentral, Tim & Sid to name a few.  The successful candidate will have substantial experience working in a live control room, switching varied and diverse control room shows. They will be able to work very well under pressure in a live, fast paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for switching live and taped control room productions.
  • Operate Ross Vision/Sony video switcher with control of server animation playback.
  • Required to feed video monitors.
  • Act as crew leader.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience switching live studio productions.
  • A strong understanding of all control room positions.
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with intense pressure of multiple live shows per night.
  • Knowledge of Ross OverDrive an asset.
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and as a strong team member.
