Treasury Accountant

We are currently seeking a high performing individual in the role of Treasury Accountant. Reporting to the Manager, Treasury Accounting, the candidate will be a self-starter, critical thinker, effective communicator and possess strong technical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to balance various demands in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.

 

What you'll do:

•    Accountable for accurate and timely month end journal entries, reconciliation, analysis and reporting on our bank accounts, debt and derivative portfolios.

•    Work collaboratively with other teams on accounting and reconciliation matters.

•    Prepare reports and analysis to support quarterly audit requirements.

•    Work collaboratively with Cash Management team on various cash and deposit tasks.

•    Provide support to the business and operations on Cash related inquiries.

•    Participate and support special projects as required

•    Identify opportunities for process simplification.

•    Other JE’s, analysis and duties as assigned.

 

What you'll have:

•    Minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience.

•    Intermediate to advanced excel skills a must.

•    Ability to meet multiple deadlines.

•    Accounting designation or equivalent experience preferred.

•    Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

•    Thrives in a collaborative, team focused environment; is adaptive and enthusiastic about ongoing change to workflows and assigned tasks.

•    Positive “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity.
