Description of role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic viral editor who lives and breathes what's trending. You need to have a passion for writing clicky-headlines and love finding unique ways to tell a viral story.

 

What you will be doing:

 

-pitching, writing and editing daily trending stories

-finding trending content to share on Today's Parent social media channels

-helping determine long-term content with viral potential, then writing or editing the resulting content

-writing and managing daily newsletter

-producing video series, including casting talent, and writing and researching video scripts

-building content for todaysparent.com

-using digital metrics and brand research to inform editorial ideas across print, digital and social media

 

What you have:

 

-1+ year experience in a publishing environment

-strong news instinct, with a willingness to turn stories around quickly

-experience writing content for web

-experience with WordPress, Adobe Omniture and SEO best practices an asset

-journalism or publishing degree an asset
