Youth Baseball Developer

The Blue Jays Baseball Academy is responsible for facilitating baseball  programming in Ontario and across Canada in the spring and summer with the goal to nurture young people’s love of baseball and passion for the Blue Jays. This is accomplished through a variety of programs including baseball clinics.

Ontario Clinics are one-day, four-hour baseball skills clinics for players aged 8-12 taking place at local baseball associations and little leagues across Ontario on weekends in the spring and summer. National Clinics take place nationwide in July and August as part of a week-long program blitz in specific cities across Canada. The goal of all events are to support a young person’s love of baseball and contribute to a positive experience that makes them want to continue playing.

As a Blue Jays Youth Baseball Developer, you are primarily responsible for facilitating a station for 10-15 youth baseball players at a time during a clinic event for 4-6 station rotations throughout a four-hour day. Developers create a welcoming, encouraging space and are considerate that many registrants may be new to baseball.  Candidates shouldn’t be afraid if their baseball skills need polishing as there will be several training sessions leading into your first day, and once clinics begin, you will be able to shadow another teammate to make sure you are comfortable. Current team members come from a diverse background and are welcoming and enthusiastic to onboard and train you to feel prepared and comfortable to deliver a great experience for youth.

Successfully candidates will be subject to a vulnerable sector background check prior to being hired.

The Blue Jays Baseball Academy is the community arm of the Blue Jays and also deliver programs such as free diversity training for youth coaches, the promotion of baseball registration nationally, and a showcase for the best players in Canada. For more information visit
