Who we're looking for:
Rogers Communications Partnership is looking for a Delivery Manager – National Transport Network Implementation, to oversee the project deliverables related to the successful planning, engineering, construction and integration of our network access transport programs. The Delivery Manager drives successful project implementation including project scoping, resource assignment, project plan development, project tracking, financial prudence, monitoring and reporting through the application of proven project management principles and methodologies.
Location: We are open to hire for our Calgary, Edmonton, Burnaby, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Fredericton, Moncton, Halifax, Brampton, Toronto, Montreal or Saskatoon location.
What you'll do:
- Be accountable for the successful implementation of all planning, design, approval, construction, integration and project close-out milestones
- Collaborate and communicate with the project sponsors, the project management and control offices, fellow project managers, project teams and other stakeholders as required to deliver on access network projects
- Manage resources assigned to projects in regard to project efforts; create project plans and project schedules; provide project management leadership from inception through deployment
- Work will primarily be focussed on access routers and microwaves transport upgrades, but other programs are also likely including access optical upgrades
- Collaborate with procurement and other project stakeholders to ensure the financial health of the project budget and provide a detailed monthly forecast for the project duration
- Pull together resources effectively to implement projects, orchestrating multiple activities at once to accomplish objectives
- Communicate with order desk team regarding equipment forecasting, ordering, deliveries, logistics and contracted services to meet overall project requirements and time frame.
- Coordinate, track and report project and program schedules using approved reporting systems/tools with the support of the project delivery team, identifying risks to appropriate stakeholders in a timely fashion
- Analyze project data using trends and comparisons, issue reports and work with database primes to develop reports that support business needs with the support of the project delivery team
- Develop and maintain all project documentation (Project Plan, Issue and Action Logs, Risk Management, Communication Plan, Status Reports, Post Implementation Reviews, etc.).
What you bring:
- Minimum (5) years of demonstrated progressive experience in project management, preferably in projects associated with the deployment of telecommunications network infrastructure.
- Experience in managing a group of simultaneous initiatives
- Post secondary education, preferably in a business administration or project management related discipline
- Completely conversant in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and other MS Office tools
- Knowledge and consistent application of proven industry standard Project Management approaches
- Project Management designation is an asset but not required
- High level of energy and strong passion to lead team members to successful completion of projects and to ensure the delivery of a positive customer experience
- High level of attention to detail
- Creativity, flexibility and an ability to manage time and reset priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong ability to multitask several projects/initiatives simultaneously
- Superior skill set including analytical thinking and problem solving, coaching and leadership, presentation and facilitation, negotiation and relationship building, proficient probing, effective listening and positioning skills, and a good risk manager
