Promotions Specialist 

 

Who we're looking for: 

 

The Promotions Specialist in Vancouver plays a critical role in executing audience engagement initiatives that drive ratings growth, support revenue-generating opportunities, and enhance the listener experience across JACK and KiSS. This role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and execution of contests, promotions, ticket giveaways, and audience communications while ensuring all activities are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.


Working closely with Content Directors, Talent, Sales, and Go-To-Market teams, the Promotions Specialist helps bring station campaigns to life and supports key business objectives through exceptional organization, attention to detail, and project management. Success in this role is demonstrated through the flawless execution of promotional campaigns, strong audience engagement, effective collaboration across teams, and the ability to deliver results that support both station and revenue objectives.

 

What you'll do: 

 

Contest & Promotion Execution

  • Support planning and lead execution for station and client-based paid and added-value contests.
  • Partner with sales team, content director, and/or promotions manager to support planning station-led events and participating in in-person promotional activities as needed to ensure strong execution and alignment with programming and market needs.
  • Develop and maintain contest rules and regulatory documentation.
  • Create and manage online contest pages.
  • Coordinate hero banner placement and promotional website assets.
  • Set up and manage Easy Promos on-air contesting mechanics.
  • Manage contest keywords and listener entry processes.
  • Coordinate national promotions, including flyaway contests and special events.
  • Lead prize fulfillment, winner verification, and distribution.

 

Audience Engagement & Communications

  • Create and schedule static social media posts supporting promotional campaigns.
  • Manage Seekr push notifications to drive audience engagement and contest participation.
  • Coordinate concert ticket requests, listener giveaways, and promotional ticketing initiatives.
  • Develop and deploy promotional email campaigns to subscriber databases.
  • Support station marketing initiatives that increase audience reach and listener engagement.

 

Creative & Asset Coordination

  • Submit and manage graphic design requests for contests and promotions.
  • Collaborate with internal creative teams to ensure campaign materials are produced on schedule and aligned with brand standards.
  • Ensure all promotional assets are accurate, approved, and delivered on time.
  • Project Management & Administration
  • Track all promotional projects, timelines, capacity planning, and vacation schedules within Monday.com.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and status updates.
  • Coordinate multiple campaigns simultaneously while meeting deadlines and ensuring operational excellence.
  • Monitor promotion execution to ensure compliance with station, company, and regulatory guidelines.

 

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with Content Directors, Talent, Sales, and Go-To-Market teams to support station objectives.
  • Participate in regular promotional planning meetings and cross-market collaboration sessions.
  • Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of promotional processes and audience experiences.

 

What you'll bring: 

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Broadcasting, Event Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in promotions, marketing, media, radio, events, or audience engagement.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and project management systems such as Monday.com.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work within established processes and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
