Regional Content Director, British Columbia

The Regional Radio Lead, British Columbia is the big-picture thinker and day‑to‑day driver behind multiple Rogers Radio stations across B.C. You’ll lead with vision, creativity, and confidence - boosting audiences, growing revenue, supporting great teams, and delivering unforgettable local content that connects communities and strengthens our brands.

 

This role owns the daily operations while setting a clear regional strategy that reflects Rogers’ passion for great storytelling, local connection, and market leadership.

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Be the heartbeat of regional radio, leading station operations across multiple B.C. markets
  • Set the tone and execute the strategy for winning regional programming that delivers audience growth and market leadership
  • Coach, mentor, and hype up on‑air talent and station teams—because great radio starts with great people
  • Oversee all things programming: music scheduling, talent development, on‑air sound, promotions, and killer station imaging
  • Champion digital growth across streams and social platforms to reach listeners wherever they are
  • Dig into Numeris ratings, research, and audience feedback to guide smart, data‑driven decisions
  • Team up with Sales, Promotions, Marketing, and Digital to build creative, revenue‑generating ideas
  • Build strong relationships with advertisers, sponsors, and community partners across the province
  • Keep everything running by the book with CRTC compliance, broadcast standards, and Rogers' policies
  • Manage regional budgets
  • Be a proud ambassador for Rogers Radio at industry events and in the community

 

What you'll bring

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, journalism, or a related field - or equivalent real‑world experience
  • 5–8+ years of radio programming leadership with a proven, winning ratings track record
  • Previous Program Director experience (required); Operations Management experience is a big plus
  • A genuine love for radio—and a desire to have fun while doing great work
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills that inspire teams and elevate on‑air quality
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work seamlessly with management, sales, promotions, and corporate partners
  • Comfort with ratings tools, research, music scheduling software (like Stratus), automation systems, and digital audio production
  • Top‑notch organization skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills—on paper, on air, and in person
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
