What you’ll do

  • Maintain in-house software applications and online tools that support Network Operations’ core business functions.

  • Support internal processes and implement change requirements, as necessary.

  • Solve problems related to the day-to-day running of various in-house applications and tools. 

  • Provide timely responses and resolutions.

  • Support users of in-house applications: Power BI, Power Apps, MS-Office, SharePoint, and various reporting tools.

  • Configure and administer application servers and database servers.

  • Create and maintain technical user documentation for in-house applications and tools.

  • Research and recommend use of new information management technologies, as and when required.

  • Conceptualize, develop, test, roll out and maintain efficient, stable, and reliable applications and tools, which facilitate accurate data capture, data management, analysis, and customized reporting.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives related to project tracking, planning, data collection, and operational spares dimensioning and management.

  • Interface with various stakeholders assessing and documenting tool and process requirements.

  • Perform other administrative support or backup roles, as and when required to support departmental or business priorities.

 

What you bring

Education:

  • Software Development - Industry Certification(s), Diploma, Degree, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 5 years experience with application and database management including: analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, rollout, maintenance, documentation, user training, and user support.

  • 2 years experience in database migration to SQL Server.

  • Microsoft Windows and MS-Office: Advanced user, able to support Excel and Access

  • Web application development with Visual Studio: ASP.net, Web Forms, Visual Basic, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, T-SQL, Bootstrap and AJAX Toolkit.

  • Microsoft Servers: configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server. Scripting experience with (Batch, WSH, or PowerShell) required.

  • Power Apps Applications and SharePoint Sites: admin, development, maintenance, and support

  • Systems integration experience.

  • Reporting tools:  Excel pivots and charts, Business Objects and Power BI.

  • Documentation: Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, SharePoint

  • Able to work independently.

  • A strong aptitude for problem solving, and the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.

  • Excellent written skills with the ability to document and explain business processes and solution designs.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.

  • The ability to understand and learn current and new business processes and practices.

  • Previous experience working in a wireless telecom environment is an asset.
