Rogers Radio is looking for a talented & driven individual to lead our Winnipeg cluster of KiSS 102.3 & The Legendary 92.1 CITI as Content Director. This is a leadership role and requires someone who can lead by example and model our values. We believe in fostering a creative, collaborative, accountable, fair and fun environment, and our next CD will be responsible for nurturing that environment in Winnipeg. For the right candidate there will also be the opportunity to become the National Music Curator (Rock) where you’ll partner on music policy, oversee scheduling, coordinate music programming initiatives & provide guidance to our music schedulers for our Rock brand.  This role reports to National Content Director, Rock.

What You'll Be Doing...

  • Develop and execute the programming & content plan for both radio stations.
  • Lead the local content team to create and curate content on all platforms including FM, digital and mobile.
  • Coaching, development and recruitment of on-air talent, production and promotions staff.
  • Co-ordinate with Music, Production, News & Promotions departments to accomplish the sound of the stations in accordance with both formats.
  • Partner with Promotions, Sales and Creative teams with respect to promotions, contests, marketing and commercial integrations.
  • Work in conjunction with National Content Directors, Programming & Sales in support of local, national & corporate business goals to increase market share & revenue.
  • Manage programming budget.
  • Ensure station complies with CRTC regulations.
  • Maintain competitive market knowledge and awareness.
  • Build strong social media presence with compelling & relevant content that fits the brand.
  • Actively participate with the wider Rock and CHR/Hot-AC Content Teams to help foster greater levels collaboration & creativity
  • For the right candidate, this role will provide support to the National Content Director in respect to coordinating music programming & initiatives the Rogers Rock Radio Brand.

What You Will Bring...

  • Passion for and understanding of Rock and Pop music
  • Experience in programming management would be desirable
  • Proven track record in effectively leading teams.
  • Positive & persuasive coach
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse data and make business decisions based on analysis; sound judgement and quality decision-making skills.
  • Organized and the ability to prioritize.
  • Openness to feedback and coaching.
  • Understanding of how to utilize and grow digital audiences
  • Experience with Music Master & Wide Orbit Automation would be desirable
