We’re searching for a charismatic and dynamic FT Morning Announcer who encapsulates the rock and roll spirit to join our team at 92.1 CITI - a mainstream rock station with nearly 50 years of heritage in Winnipeg. This is a rare chance to join the #1 rated morning show, on the #1 rated station in the market!
The ideal candidate will bring a great attitude, a huge amount of energy and creativity, and a strong sense of collaboration to the morning show, contributing to a program that is engaging, relevant, and aligned with our stations rock brand. This role requires an understanding of the city of Winnipeg and surrounding communities, current events, pop culture, sports, rock music from the 1960’s through to present day, and audience engagement across multiple platforms with a strong lean towards digital and social content creation
What you'll do...

Collaborate with the morning show team to produce entertaining and informative on-air content.

Present yourself with authenticity and flair, ensuring alignment with the station's tone and style.

Generate fresh and creative ideas to keep the show dynamic, engaging and targeting a broad audience.

Actively engage with the audience via calls, texts, and social media.

Connect with our audience outside of the show at events and on-location opportunities.

Incorporate the audience into the show.

Lead the show’s digital strategy by collaborating with your co-hosts to create engaging content, including original videos, stories, and behind-the-scenes posts.

Curate daily audio highlights for podcasts, SEEKR, and on-air show

Serve as an ambassador for the station by participating in public events, promotions, and appearances.

Build strong relationships with listeners, advertisers, and community stakeholders.

Co-host a live radio show, weekday mornings

Be available to fill-in for other hosts locally and/or pre-record programming for other markets within Rogers Sports & Media

What you bring...

Proven on-air experience with a track record of delivering engaging and entertaining content.

Strong understanding of rock music and the pop culture landscape.

Understanding of the core demographic of the audience and how to cater content to them

Exceptional verbal communication and storytelling skills.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented show

Proficient with all relevant social media platforms and audio editing software (e.g., VoxPro, Adobe Audition)

A team player with a positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Additional Assets:

Experience hosting or co-hosting a morning show.

Background in managing social media content or digital audience engagement.
