We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Technician working out of our Winnipeg, MB office, reporting to the Manager of Field Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of our outside plant network to deliver an exceptional customer experience on a continual basis.

What you'll do
- Splice, join, connect and test fiber optic cables; Find the nature, cause and location of trouble
- Diagnose, repair and build all components of an outside coaxial/fiber optic network
- Document and reporting on completed splicing work
- Operate and test equipment related to the maintenance of 2-way coaxial and fiber systems
- Maintain accurate system records and support documentation regarding all work orders
- Work with various internal stakeholders to collaborate and resolve complex, customer impacting issues in an effective and timely manner
What you bring
- A Valid full class 5 drivers license
- Demonstrates behaviours, which support key success factors: Accountability, Adaptability & Customer 1st
- Comfortable working outside year round in all types of weather
- Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, statutory holidays when required, rotational on call duties and out of town work
- Physically able to perform all aspects of the job including working at heights of up to 40 ft, heaving lifting up to 100lbs, and maneuvering through tight and confined spaces
- A technical acumen, with a desire to stay up to date on the latest industry trends
- Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity and hand eye coordination
